| painting tube work
Is there a good brand/type of paint recommended for tube work? I am looking for something durable. I bought some Valspar brand Implement paint from Tractor Supply and it seems to scratch easy.

| Primer
This may sound like a silly question, but are you using primer first? For the longest time I didn't use it. BIG MISTAKE!! Better paint adhesion and flaw hiding are only 2 of the benefits.

Painting tubes is tough. If you love the rig have it powder coated. I have a buddy on ORCRC (Oregon) that powder coats for cheap. This include a bead blast. Highlandcrawler This is the guy. I looked back on the oregon fourm. 30.00 for a tube chassis. Thats a fu*kin deal Evan |

thats what i use, lay down primer, then duplicolor spray on bedliner and then you can put any color you want on top of that. i also did that with paint match on my tube fenders on my 1:1 jeep

| This is by far the best suff you can use, I work at a auto body/resto shop and we use it all the times on frames. By far the strongest stuff out there. I would suggest to dip the chassis in it because of the thickness of the paint, Dont get it on your hands or cloths though because you will have in in there till it wears off.
