RPP Hobby...is a vendor on this forum...and they stock the Hilux bodies....you have to order quite a few items to build a COMPLETE body.

Cab
Bed
Windows
Light lenses tree
Headlight bucket ....bumpers...mirrors...etc
Park light buckets
Grill tree
rear bed pieces tree

Most all of those pieces are on separate parts tree's..... and that's when most guys find out that it's not so cheap to build a COMPLETE Hillux body!

You can get just the cab and bed for around $40 + shipping....but the other parts can easily add up to another $100+ (depending on how u build it)

Here's another one that I'm building right now....it's getting painted tonight:

oh definatly i completely agree with you Aron. My total came out to 110 and i was missing the windows. Anyways, once your cab or bed crack or break during crawling. They are easly replacable. I payed 60 bucks almost for a brand new cab, bed and grill

Mine is getting closer to being finished, well they are never really finished are they? First hard body project and Iam not real happy with it, damm Lexan has spoiled me over the years.Still need to fab up an interior and design a better front body mount- semi-boat side thingy.

Not sure if this is old news, but it has colors and sales brochures from various Toyota truck model years, including the '79-'83 model. Figured some may find it helpful...

Mind if I ask y'all what colors and paint brand you used for these blue and red rigs? They all struck my fancy!

I used Tamiya clear red and clear yellow. Granted this was painted inside lexan and not clear ABS, but I suspect the results would be similar. Pardon the non-Hilux photo, but at least it's an '80s vintage Toyota!

AutoAir metallic blue on Justin's truck....maybe some Sparklesence blue mixed in. I rarely use a color straight from the bottle/can....always a "custom" mix.

My "stock" highlift with some mod's ... like ramjet 502, working door locks, modified original 3 speed, lights etc.

I cant belive it's been sitting in the shelf after completion for almost 3 years

wow nice Hiluxe's guys. My hilux is beat up as of now. The roof is all covered in body filler because of some really deep scratches. I am going to get some old skool original paint for mine and paint it up, and ill post some pictures. As of now keep the pictures coming
