Default decals

So, I've been tossing around the idea of making my own decals. Bought a sheet of decal paper today and I'm pretty good with photoshop (outta be went to school for it) but have never used decal paper before. Any tips? was just gonna use an ink jet for a sample just to see how it goes. The guy @ the store said when he did ink jet the colors ended up fading/lightening up and his first run had a tendency to try to bleed some. Guess I'm wondering if others experienced these issues w/ink jet and if so did you over saturate or pick a deeper color hue to work in to compensate for bleeding? I'm using "expert's-Choice" decal for now. I saw the Testors and would like to hear any experiences from one or both of these or recommended other brands of decal sheets and printer preferences.

WTF? not to sound like an a$$, but are you calibrated? see, this is why i was asking bout decal printing. I assume you've done PDF and JPG prints from photoshop edited images to this same printer?May i ask what format you saved the photoshop image as, or rather did you work in CYMK or RGB?

I've made a ton of decals using an inkjet and never had an issue with colors not being correct. You have to seal the decals after they print and dry. You can by a decal set spray or I just use testors clear coat.

I made all of these including the numbers.

First... reddevil, i'm noob @ decals do i really need a set spray? or just a good clear coat? Lenght of time to wait to apply set spray or clear? OH, BTW, nice decals!!! any specs on how you went about printing them?
Greenjeeper..... not to be a brain here, but something sounds amiss in how things are workin out for you.
So, you're printer ONLY accepts pdf in CYMK, so may i ask what do you edit in? and if you convert what was your original .ext, what do you convert in and what settings, and how did you calibrate it with your monitor and workspace(software)?

Not to hijack here, but I am trying to print some license plates that I made on the acme license maker site. I shrunk the pic down to size but when I print it it comes out very pixelated.

I do have photoshop, but I have no idea how to use it.

Any tips would be great.
