| paint question & backing color?
im painting a body of mine blue with a black hood. was wondering what color to shoot first? i was thinking the blue then the black. Also what color should i back this with? |

on the inside of lexan bodies you paint dark to light.

Mask off hood.....shoot the blue....unmask hood and shoot entire body with the black.....done.....

| dark to light
Hi, The ideal process would be starting with the darkest color(black) working your way to the lightest. However, it's not practical in lots of cases. the reason you'd do this is by spraying the darkest first your next color won't show thru, example would be in painting white then red, the red might show thru the white making it look a pinkish color. etc. you can start with either color just make sure you back your blue color with silver before applying the black black, blue, silver behind blue, black to cover the silver, sealer OR blue backed with silver then entire body black, sealer |
