my local hobby shop has lots of textured panels in the model train section. Diamond plate, siding, shingles, wood grain, you name it.

| you could use that real aluminum diamond plate the 1/10th stuff and glue it to some styrene...or use the styrene diamond plate and back it with thicker styrene..myself i use the styrene stuff and just use it as a skin..i always build what i need then just cover it with the DP although it is 1/16th scale it still looks great on a build..im anxious to use that aluminum DP that rpp has but dang 20bux for 2 sheets..thats kinda steep..and its super duper thin..would be great for interior trim work or skinning styrene |
