Spray mask is my tool of choice for the complex stuff. I DO own a vinyl plotter but that's primarily for my shop & not RC stuff. It's pretty hard to get a good burnish all the way around with vinyl masks on an RC lid.

Faskolor has a decent spray mask that you can brush on instead of having to own a spray gun setup with at least a 2.0 tip. I spray it simply because it's faster & the end result is just easier to cut. Just make sure you follow the directions. 2-3 medium coats & FULLY cure between coats. A hair dryer works best. To thin & it's hard to peel...too thick and it's hard to cut.

Depends on the body some come with stencils to use or you can use stickers or liquid mask. Really its about how intricate you want to go. As for paint make sure its made for lexan so it adhears properly. (prep well)
