It depends what you use to blast it.. You can soda blast it or micro mart sells a mini airbrush blaster that uses some super fine type of beads that's not abrasive and you can blast paint from plastic without any damage check it out

My experience with blasting plastic is not good.. I burned a part trying to get paint off of it once.. It just made little burn marks and otherwise didn't do very much. I was using ultra fine sand but, it would clean up metal and leave a nice finish like nobodys business. Thats the sand blaster I have at the shop.

I have on at my home garage that is soo coarse that, I think it would blow holes in a hard body. I dont want to find out.

Like j-bird said, It depends what you use.. There is probably a winning combination to do what you want to do.

Depending on the blaster, they also make small plastic beads or crushed walnut shells (as the blast media) for "fragile" base materials.

I never tried it on removing paint from a plastic body though.

Careful. For some reason the DOT3 brake fluid i used crystalized the body and now has hairline cracks all through it, and it didn't really seem to take the paint off as good as i'd hoped

Why not just crack open a beer, grab the body, some sand paper of various grits, put your feet up, turn on the tv and just have some relaxation time while also getting something done.

If you're trying to remove the paint then use dot4 let it set for a few hrs and then use some elbow grease and it'll come right off without damaging your body at all

If you want to blast it turn the psi down to 10 to 15 psi. I've blasted plastic body's and car parts with good results. Just make sure you use low air in.

Ive done it with a very fine plastic media and low pressure and had great results.

I ended grabbing a pack of smokes "stopped drinking after my b-day, gotta regulate it so I dont become addicted. long family history with that" went out side, and hashed it out for an hr or so.. Look at the thread in the 1.9 section. I have got a few base coats and a clear, then I was being dumb and didnt read the clear coat can so I noticed that the clear had gone cloudy.. So I waited an hr and then hit it with a heavy base again.. Then read the can and saw the cloudyness is supposed to go away after 24hrs or less.. So When it warms up and stops snowing I'll use a good few clear coats and put it in the closed for a day so I will leave the thing alone. If it still has coudiness in the clear then I'll do another heavy base and be done... lol
