Default tuber painting

i have seen alot of people painting their plastic tubers. what paint do i need because i want to paint my proline tuber? do i have to do anything to the tuber like scuff it up to get the paint to stick?

I'd scuff it lightly, wash it good, use Krylon Fusion, and hope for the best.
