Lightbulb Clod customization- How to make a hood scoop and cab back.

Im working on a TTC rig and thought Id share how I made a custom hood scoop, filled the sunroof and made a cab back for it.

I cut the body carefully to seperate it from the bed.

I cut a rectangular piece of styrene and two angled pieces for the sides and glued them together.

The cab back was easy. Once the cut was cleaned up on the cab, I just layed it on the styrene and traced the body, and cut out two of them. Then I cut some squares out of one of the pieces to make a contoured back.

Some Tenax77, Shoogoo and Gorilla CA glue to hold everything in place. Once all of that dried, I sanded it down, applied some glazing putty and let it dry.

Then I cut a thin strip of styrene out for the rib down the hood, and started sanding.

Now you need to make a pickup box trailer out of the leftover box.

Nah. Being from the south, I despise those things. We had 2-3 of them when I was growing up. I think that if you were a redneck, Jeff Foxworthy came to your house and dropped one off in the middle of the night.

So I got everything smoothed down and painted flat white in preperation for the color. Here's the finished product minus windows, signals, emblems, etc.
I forgot to mention previously that I hacked off the lower portion of the front fenders to gain some tire clearance.
