| help with body pre paint prep
Hello my name is Mike I just got my new trail finder 2 kit and need help I have the yellow hard toyota body and want to paint it right I need to know what grit I need to use for the best resolts and should I wet sand or dry what primer is best I have a can of selfetching primer is that ok for plastic and do I need to sand the primer if so what grit can I use testers modal paint for the trim or is there something better also anyone know where I can get the 3 strip decals for the body any info would help

I would use either 800 or 1000 grit sand paper for the best results. I would just use a standard primer.The Testors paint will be okay but I'm postitve that there are better brands of paint to use. David | |

You should also wipe it with regular paint thinner or acetone just before painting, just make sure to dry it completely.This also preps the plastic for paint and it will stick better.
