Default paint warranty

anyone know if testors puts a warranty on their paint cans if they are faulty?

i recently picked some up at a ocal shop - and the nozzle was missing when i broke the seal. no prob - nabb'd one from another can and all hell broke loose. started spraying out of the nozzle inlet instead of the nozzle.

anyone ever ran into this or ever asked them for warranty coverage of defective products?

sorry man....but that was a visual most funny....I got tears and you got paint everywhere....

I've had clogged nozzles and it spit out chunks of paint. That tought me to try it first on some cardboard or something I wasn't hoping to look nice...

never heard of a warranty though....man I'm still laughing....

yeah it was crazy! it was spitting out of the can instead of the nozzle - so of coure my hand is covered in paint - thank god i test spray the cans into the trash first - ive been painting long enough to know better. i have had the clogged fizzle out before and it sucks in the middle of a paint job. i took the nozzle and put it back on the can i stole it from and it shoots clean - dont know whats up with this can but i have had this happen before - just dont want to waste the $7 on a can i cant use. maybe time to go airbrush.

Take it back up to the LHS, they will exchange it for you. If they don't then they are a crap shop. I have worked at several different shops and I know all of the distributors will take care of it for the shop.

i have no doubt that the local shop would take care of it - but, the problem is i live like 1.5 hours from the shop where i bought it. granted i can always take it back when i am up there next but - might be a while

(who am i kidding - ill probably be up there next week)

im just wondering if the mfgr will stand behind their product and if so.. how so?

most times if i have a problem i go to the mfgr if at all possible so that the local guy isnt out $ out of pocket. When a product is returned or needs to be sent back for warranty - even if it doesnt cost them money - it can still cost them money in the form of shipping or man hours. i like the fact that i can go to a local shop and get instant gratification on purchases - thus why i try to keep them out of the loop if possible.
