Here's mine. It's the 79' ford body with a 77' grill. Kept it simple and little upgrades.

Love the truck! The scx10 super cab 79 ford build went through. ended up trading it for a short course truck and that's were I'm at. I haven't touched my truck in a little while, really would like to do some upgrades but don't have the money right now.

Thanks man. All I did for waterproofing is use an XL-5 ESC lol, I didn't touch the servo as it's been dunked before numerous times and still works great. I put the receiver in the radio box under the front battery tray in the location, and the ESC is just on a piece of styrene zip-tied the the posts holding my slider.

Thanks for the help! I really want to get mine out and crawling but I don't want to fry the esc because its not waterproof.

Just finished this one last night.. still have to have a bed but it came out ok. It never fails tho if you spend countless hours trying to make a nice clean body it always messes up haha

I ended up using one of my plastic servo boxes and I mounted it up on the chassis. I'm going to be putting the esc and receiver in it. Can't wait to test it!

Rebuilt/refreshed my SCX10 over the winter. Shrank the WB and dropped on the regular cab. LOVE the look of this body, though after mounting it up, kinda wish I had gone with the extended cab. Rear bumper and interior still need to be done.

Will never be this shiny again...

Needless to say I ended up using the wrong Tamyia paint.. Tried using paint remover cause I ordered another body and it just ruined the body.. So I painted the windows black and the rest brown hahahaha looks absolutley horrid.

That sucks, now you have to start all over again. You should use that body as a beater body and save the other one.

Before and after pics, WOW what a difference!!! HPI '79 F150 body. A tribute to my gradfather's truck that he loved so much. RIP to them both, the truck outlived him but he passed 20 years ago this year. At any rate, the paint is identical, so is the stance, he would be proud!!! The body will be taking its maiden voyage this weekend
