Default New Bright Jeep Body

So I was lucky enough to find a brand new unopened NB Jeep 4 door Rubicon at radio shack! $65 for the whole truck. I am going to cut those dumb ass fender flairs off and attach the Posion Spyder Crushers that came with my SCX10. How did you guys cut the body, with these being so hard to find and going for upwards of $150 on eBay I don't want to screw it up.

I use a Dremel with a thin cutoff wheel. Some people use a piece of thread.

They just look so big, But I got it situated on the chassis and I don't think its the flairs so much, but the shiny paint. I may go over it with a matte black first. I'm really nervous about cutting it because if I screw this one up, I'll probably never have another one.

Anytime I need precise cuts on a hardbody, I use thread. Draw a line, and literally "saw" the part into by pulling the thread back and forth through the plastic as close to perpendicular to the body as possible.

Dremel with a thin cut off wheel, a utility knife, and a lot of patience.

are you sure the axial flares line up well w the nb? there are probably multiple builds here showing this, i just havent came across any. i think i like the flares on mine ive had for a while, they dont look so big when at ride height w tires. plus i wouldnt want to cut em down/off and regret it. have been thinking about it tho....

but for cutting i use a dremel cut off for a rough cut, getting it as close as possible, then sand the edge down to finish, usually manually w a block and snadpaper for straightedges, sometimes w dremel sanding drum if the first cut came out out nasty. never tried the string method.
