Default decals and paint

I am planning to paint my Dingo body, maybe from the inside, maybe outside, or a combo. My question for you all is how to make the stickers look more OEM ? If I clear over the top of the shell after stickers will that help? Will painting inside vs exterior matter?
I was thinking of doing an interior coat of rust color, then a silver topped with a finish color on the exterior. Sort of like what Louisbaby did, as well as others on site.

I would have to say that painting the outside would be the most " scale " because you can control gloss. However I don't believe any sort of coat would effect the decal " realism ". Good luck with your project man!
