Ditto what unholy said. I usually use the scissors to get 1/16" or so from the line I want. I then use the dremel with a sanding barrel to finish. Lastly I use sanding sponge to go over all the cut edges and finish it off.

I've always hated lexan scissors.

I use a #11 Exacto blade with the tip snapped off 1/8 to 1/4" back to get rid of the point and stop the flexing. Score the body then fold to snap it off. I used a sanding pad to get rid of the rough edges.

That's what I do too.

When I am doing a body I care enough to make look nice.

i've always used curved lexan scisors, and trim the body before painting to avoid scratches. ive had problems with dremeling it tends to melt the lexan if your not careful, and using an exacto is asking for a trip to the hospital for stiches.

have always used a blade to score and snap. I tried scissors, but didn't care for them.

I always use the curved lexan scissors and then a dremel to finish it off. I really cant stand badly trimmed bodies, and i usually spend more time trimming then painting. I always trim and ream body post holes before paint too. Its way easier.

lexan scissors for me I have 2 different sizes ....also some emery paper to 800 grit to get close to the lines and round the edges...some people say that you should spray first then do the cutting although others may dissagree

Heck with all these little tools. I use my 4 1/2" Makita with a flapper disc on it. Eats through the lexan like butter, usually trim a body up and finished in about 2 minutes

HPI is a manufacturer, they make RC vehicles and bodies for them.

Lexan is the material that all clear bodies are made from.
