| Brushed on finish for vac formed bodies
Back in the heyday of slot cars (mid '60s) we used to paint bodies from the inside using brushed on 'candy' colors. A silver metallic would 'rise' to give the needed base for the candy colors. The clear body giving the depth. Bodies ended up silver metallic on the inside and popped candy colors from the outside. Is there anything similar these days? |

Pactra used to make a candy range but rare to find because of being discontinued and tamiya make some translucent colors but I did see on Facebook that durtrax has a range of paints including candy and peal colors Cheers Rino Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk |

You could definitely do that. Translucent backed with metallic would be awesome! Why brushed on, though? Last edited by monkeyracing; 04-29-2014 at 07:11 AM. |
