| Having trouble with dynamic concepts body.
I have the body all trimmed out so now I'm trying to get everything all lined up. I cut out the holes for the posts up front, and also cut on the notches for the front tube frame. When I set the side panels up it seems like they are not long enough. If I pull the back corners to try and line them up the plastic stretches a little and the panels distort. What's my next step to getting these side panels set up right? Here's some pics to explain exactly what's going on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The hood fits perfect without the side panels. Once I have the hood on with the side panels and pins in, I get this... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by KBR97; 06-04-2014 at 05:31 PM. |

I'll be watching for any info on this. As a painter, I should know this body but I'm new to it. I just picked 2 up for our wraiths and I hope I don't run into the same stuff!!

I don't have that particular body, but it looks like you should have started from the rear and worked forward. Then figure out how much the front pins needed to be mounted higher. The areas at the front corners where you ground out the lexan wouldn't have been necessary with the hood higher up.

The hood fits perfect without the panels. It almost seems like the fenders are too wide for the hood. And too short. Maybe if I oblong the post holes a bit and the side panels could slide back a little more. Last edited by KBR97; 06-05-2014 at 06:31 AM. |

I'm running the same body on my wraith and I think I have isolated the problem with your body. On your side panels I notice that you did not notch out the panels for the a pillar and b pillar. If you notch them out the side panels will hug the sides of the wraith better giving you more room in the back.

Glad I could help. These bodies are special and are not your run of the mill type bodies. I love Dynamic concepts bodies!

Sorry for missing this thread until now. We communicated, and I am glad the problem was solved. This reminds me to keep working on my trimming and assembly tutorial. I plan on it tomorrow afternoon after my "grown-up" job..... I should have it posted up soon, It will include a hinged hood. |
