| Bonding Styrene Question
what can I use to attach styrene to the powder coated metal frame? I bought plastruct Bondene for styrene to styrene but wasn't sure if that works plastic to metal.

The best way is to use mounting points and bolts to attach the panels. Bondene is to weld (or melt) the plastic together. It won't work on plastic to metal. I guess you could use JB weld or something similar, but I'd do it right and use bolts. |

| Re: Bonding Styrene Question Not sure how I would use fasteners tho... The Frame is like 3/16" diameter round bar, so I can't really drill into it if that is what you mean.

Most of the time you braze or weld on fasteners when you're building it.

JB Weld, sloppy and messy good stuff. Super glue and micro balloons or baking soda....use activator weld on or braze tabs...best method |

Or ShoeGoo, or bolt it on with cable clamps around the metal tubing, try to hide them with strategic location of fasteners. Would be best to braze on tabs during cage construction as already mentioned.

Use some 3/16 plastic clamps for wires. You can find them at the auto parts store ..

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Winner, winner, chicken dinner... lol The cleanest and easiest method if your chassis is already completed and painted, or you lack the time, skills, or desire to weld tabs on. |
