I just hope the side airbags dont blow with extremely light trailing like the 1:1's

Sarcasm aside its nice to see new models getting picked up, even if I'm not into them. Plus GM can really use the licensing moneys at the moment.

From the Proline page

'SKU: 3517-00
$43.31
List Price: $50.95
You save: $7.64
Chevy Colorado ZR2 Clear Body for 12.3" (313mm) Wheelbase Scale Crawlers
'

EDIT: I also spotted a 1965 Toyota Land Cruiser with a coming soon page (12.8" wheelbase), I think they used to make this body for bashers. https://www.prolineracing.com/bodies...clear-body.asp

Frankly, I like the old 'yota better. I'm on the waiting list for both.

yeah the idea of a 12.3 FJ is... NO. i'd rather the 10.8 WB of the RC4WD hardbody.
i still think that Colorado is great in lexan though. very "do work" type so you don't have to baby the rig. nice.
that said i suppose a lexan FJ would be okay so you don't have to baby the hardbody. but, that wheelbase...

toss the Colorado on the RC4WD/JD Models desert runner for the IFS and you're set!
or is a lexan body on that chassis considered blasphemy?

Oh, I'll be doing an all black Colorado body alright, with bright wheels...just because.

The FJ? I guess a half-inch is quite a bit to extend a scx or ascender....dayum.

I just have not gone the hard-body route as of yet in my RC journey. The way my lexan bodies look after a few runs I just know it would completely destroy a nice detailed model.

I was showing the wife progress steps in finishing it and she was meh. Then when it was done and on the chassis her eyes about popped out of her head - then it all made sense. "Oh well that's WAY nicer than YOUR truck!"

The new body is just slightly narrow, but the PitBull's are ridiculously huge, and the wheels offset some. I think it would look a LOT better with some new alloys and a 4-1/2" tire. I'll work on that.
[shrug]

This is the same chassis as I run the Silverado body on. Here you can see it's not much different as far as width...
