Default Mounting a hi lift jack to a bonnet

Need some tips/advice. Would like to mount a hi lift jack across the bonnet of my trx4 defender where the body posts protrude. Any ideas how to achieve this?

I've seen people use servo mount stand offs with some degree of success and passable scale factor. You could also use some small, alloy shock stand off spacers. Mark your holes, drill the bonnet, run small cap head screws through the jack, spacers, and back with a small washer and nut on the underside.

Not sure if you'd want to consider mounting it behind the posts closer to the windscreen but that's what I did. I was initially going to use the posts so that the lift would hide them a bit but in the end, it worked out better for me to mount it on it's own.

You could drill tiny holes in the top of the body posts and use scale (tiny!) hardware to screw through the jack and into the body post. Just make sure the scale bolt doesn't come through the perpendicular hole for the body clip. Carefully dremel or file the bolt down as needed.
Just beware with the bolts that short it could rip out easier.

Well, I decided to play it’s safe and mod the original rear bracket for the Hi Lift Jack. Pleased with the outcome
