One that I've read, and am very interested in trying, doesn't involve scissors at all. Using an X-Acto knife (or surgeon's knife, as I prefer), you 'score' your cut lines around the entire body (and other areas, when/where needed), and then 'bend' there level to "pop" the excess off.

Cut it as rough as you want-- then finish all of the edges with a sanding drum on a Dremel. It's a lot easier to keep the tool steady when you can use both hands. I have quite steady hands-- and this is how I do all of my bodies. The scoring trick takes VERY steady hands.

I use a sharp carbide scribe, scoring all lines, I also add straight relief lines. Then I don’t cut anything, just bend and tear. A sanding drum on a Dremel or drill to finish as needed

Can you mark it and get someone else to cut for you?

I cut mine about 1/4" to 1/8" away from the body line, and then use a drum sander on low speed on my dremel to get the lines perfect.

This is the only way I trim bodies. It's so ridiculously easy and you can get really curves and complex lines.

The first line that you score/scratch can be done really lightly to help you make sure it's in exactly the right spot and then your knife will naturally follow the groove that you started. Score it several times so it's quite distinct and then bend it to crack the scored line apart, once the crack is started you can just keep tearing all the way along your scored line - be careful not to tear past the end of what you scored.

The most important part of success with this is making sure that the blade you're using is sharpsharpsharp. I always use an Olfa type blade and snap a section off to ensure I've got a nice sharp tip corner.
