Default Painting full interior?

New to painting bodys and have a question.

How do you all paint the interior?
I am thinking I spray a base color and then hand brush paint from there?
Paint on the inside or outside of the interior?

As always, thanks for all your knowlage.

With the interior (of you're talking Lexan), you can paint from the inside, or the outside...or both. Even if painting from the inside, you can make the outside appear flat, and with a slight texture, by spraying a clear flat. On one of my interiors, I painted from both sides, as well as used clear flat on part on the outside, to create a combination of smooth-glossy, flat-texture, and semi-glossy surfaces.

I normally paint the base color underneath the interior. Then I cut the outside film to use as a mask to paint on the outside of the interior. I then use Tamiya PS-55 Flat Clear on the outside to give the paint a dull look.

For example below, I sprayed the black on the underneath, then used the film as a mask on the seats and dash pad and sprayed them orange on top of the interior. Then used the flat clear to spray the outside of the entire interior.

Brian...just, please, don't paint the body orange. Otherwise, someone's gonna think you stole one of Josh's trucks...lol
