Default Dovetailing?

Wanna try it for a project im doin. Old 72 chevy truck body(lexan). Do I cut the hood out, then split the grill down the middle to narrow the fenders? Seems like if I do it this way it may be hard to line up the edges of the hood because of the shape?

Thanks in advance for any help.......

I think you cut the hood but leave it attached at the windshield, then cut the grill in the center, narrow to desired width then cut the edges of hood to match fender lines, and your done for the most part just need to do finish work.

either way your gril is going to end up looking something like this /\ exagerated but it will have an angle like that.

i would cut the hood and grill out seperately
pull in the fenders
narrow the grill by sectioning it down the middle vertically
narrow the hood by cutting material off of the outsdes

the inly downfall to this is the fenders become a tadbit short, however its the inly wat to get clean lines on the hood and grill

Do you have to do your painting first?

Seems like that would be easiest.
