Default Can I Save It

Hi, i tried painting my pro-line f-100 body yesterday and I think the can of paint I had was defected. The paint would come out even for a second and then it would start coming out in thick drops, and now the body has big thick white drops on it. If i get some more paint can I spray it more so you cant see the droops from the outside or is the body not savable. Thanks

if worde comes to worse paint the inside the best you can then spray a few coats on the outside of the body but u should be able to get away with re painting the inside

If you finish it with a diff can same color it shouldn't look that bad! Next time try heating the can up with hot water. It'll help it spray evenly. I'ld check the cap on the can too. That's where your prob more than likely came from.

Yeah try warming it like coles said. Sounds like the nozzle might have been plugged, was tha can brand new? I would wash the tip off to make sure theres no build up. As far as the body you painted on the inside right? I would take a scrubbing pad and try and smooth the drops so you dont see the difference in height of the paint before you respray. Then just continue to paint and it should be fine. The worst case would be that you can see it but it will be the same color so not that big of a deal. and if all else fails, mask and paint the outsie, that will cover it all.

I really like the looks of that white paint on that body. It reminds me of the truck that my dad had when I was a kid...we had a lot of good times in that old truck.

try carefully warming the can under some luke warm faucet water before you paint i have had cans like that before!!! just be sure you get all the water off the can first or you run into some real problems with the water dripping off the can....

Thanks for the complements, my dream is to have a real F-100 when I turn 16. Uncle Jessy's truck is what I was basing it on. And the second can of paint I used I let it set in a glass of warm water for a couple minutes and it really helped.

You could paint the outside of the bed area with black paint, and cover up the spots, and break up all the white. I did that to my silver f100 body and i think it looks pretty good. Btw, i dig the white

The body came out great. And like someone said, not too bad for a ford

If all else fails, you could also get some brake fluid and scrub the paint of and spray her again.
