Default weathered

I am wanting to paint a "weathered" rusted etc looking truck. I have painted alot of bodies but nothing like this. Anyone have any experience with this. I can do trial and error but I thought is someone had some experience with this already and they could give me some pointers/help that would be great.
Thanks

Are you doing a lexan or hard plastic body? that will drastically change how you do it.
