With the new TSA regs, Li-Po's are forbidden on flights ever since the Dreamliner fire was attributed to them. So I will be shipping my Batts, charger and a few other things ahead to you as well since I'll be riding up with Fish.

Where did you see this info? I checked the TSA.gov website and it says Lithium Batteries are Carry-On only.

I'm not saying shipping them is a bad idea, I just want to make sure I can carry them with me.

This is the report I was speaking of: http://www.ntsb.gov/investigations/2...787_3-7-13.pdf

I have been looking into it, it looks like it's by airline these days. Fish and Chicklet posted in another thread about it, and it seems like our batts will be ok, just check your airline policies.

Read:
Safe Travel

After reading into, I am just gonna carry them on like I have in the past. If in my research I come across something important, I'll share.

The airline doesn't have anything to do with TSA...

And the battery that they are blaming in that report was one installed by the manufacturer of the plane. It says it was a battery that started the auxiliary power unit (if I am reading that report correctly). That battery was fawkin HUGE! 75Ah, 32.2V (peak) and it weighed 62lbs.

There was a ban put out by the IATA

They have revised it quite a few times, the only thing i remember form before was that it only really affected international shipments originating or destined to the USA

Here's a link to the IATA, they have changed it a bit, and it's about a clear a mud, but there are restrictions..
