Event Rules & Judging

Since there have been a number of posts here is some initial information based on discussions with Jason, Josh (Harley0706), Gerame (Eritex) and others.

Garame from Eritex (NSCA Trail Boss) as you know competes frequently in a regional and national events. Garame is working with USRCCA, RCCrawler, and the KCRC team to assure a very challanging course that will bust all of our butts. Most of last year's judges and scorekepers (from the KCRC Team) will be returning for this year's event there will be some other "experienced" judges as well. Judges will be on one station all day.

We will have a mininum of three courses (more details to follow)

We will be following by the book USRCCA rules.
http://usrcca.com/rules.htm

What class should you compete in?
Generally if you have competed previously in more than a couple events or won, and/or are a sponsored driver you really should be competing in the Pro-Class. The Amatuer class traditionally has a higher "point out" limit than the pro class.

We are doing our best to make this a world class event.

So, I talked in person to a few hotels today and here is the skinny.

The Laquinta guy was a douche, and basically couldn't give me a certified rate. Its usually the cheapest place, but according to him everything is "corporate" now so I couldn't lock down anything. Kind of suspicious to me, but that's what I got.

The Holiday Inn express that is across the street gave us a huge discount, and was very easy to deal with. All you have to do is call and ask for the Hobbytown rate. Its 75.99 a night in a very nice and new hotel with a pool, breakfast etc...

Its also outside city limits so the taxes are about half of the Laquinta and other places, so it should be pretty much the same when you take that into account.

The # is (402) 505-8181

Event Sponsors

I have some final things to wrap up before we announce our event sponsor, but looks like we have a title sponsor for the event.

Tekin will be one of our Platinum Course Sponsors and has graciously provided both cash for the course build and product for the event.

So far our Gold & Silver Sponsors include:
Pro-Line
DMG - Death Metal Garage
Kamikaze Customs
The Eye
NSCA
HobbyTownUSA

Uhhh no. What is does mean is that we actually have the capabilities spend the money to set up a course that can be used for more than one event.

It will allow us to buy one extra big rock.

Seriously these things are not cheap to put on. The monies we get from sponsors will go into course build costs, event management, t-shirts, prizes, etc.

It's very much appreciated that sponsors are willing to support this event, without their support, it's likely it would not be a long term event going forward.

Tekin as an example will also be working with HobbyTown to provide some super deals on Tekin electrics as well. Can't beat that.

Buffalo Wild Wings is one of my Favorites, not too far away.

Omaha has more restraurants per capita than any city in the midwest

The Boss OK'd the trip so the wife and I will be coming down. Just got a room at the Holiday inn and the rate is 75.00 a night not 75.99 just so you know.
