The views and wild life are much more worth the money $20 per car/truck, then the what you'll see at the Royal Gorge. It is also closer to the comp site and you would also be able to go to Estes Park, http://www.estesnet.com/ and if you were to go all the way through the park to Grand Lake http://www.grandlakechamber.com/ it is a also nice place to visit.

x2 Estes park is cool and Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful. If you go, take the drive all the way through the park from Estes to Grand Lake like Rogue suggested. You won't be disappointed.

The Royal Gorge is not really worth the drive. When you pull up to the entrance, it feels like you arrived at a crappy carnival with a bridge.
