Default 2010 Axial West Coast Championship Overall Results

The 2010 Axial West Coast Championship (AWCC) planning started in November of '09. Axial wanted to bring more to the drivers for 2010, so the gears of insanity started spinning and what we came up with was truely a first.

The 2010 AWCC started in January with the first ever Qualifier for a championship that took place in Lake Wolford, CA. The top ten overall finishers would qualify to compete at the Championships. Farmington, NM, St. George, UT, Long Beach, WA, and Lake Amador, CA were all locations of AWCCQ's.These Qualifiers insured that the best drivers would be competing against each other on Championship day.

Not only did Axial want to bring more comps to drivers for 2010, but they wanted to do it for less money, but not sacrifice any of the comp quality. This was a great goal and it was achieved by lowering the overall entry fee and inlisting the help and professionalism from local area clubs. A HUGE "Thank You" to SDRCRC, OCRCRC, 4cRc2, 801RCC, ORRCRC, WPRCCA, CCRC, and RECON. These clubs, some new and some o.g., have some of the best guys in the country and on behalf of Axial and myself it was an honor and privilage to work with you and the AWCCQ's would not have been possible without your help. These clubs all helped out during the Championships with the addition of SOCORC, whose members really stepped up during Championship weekend. Thank you!

"OH MY" seemed to echo thru out the valley of Cisco Grove Campgrounds for 3 days straight. Championship weekend started with the first ever Axial SCX Scale Challenge. My cheeks hurt from the perma smile and laughter as these scale rigs dominated the mud pit, frame twister, tank pull and three very disciplined trail challenges. Congrats to all the scale challengers for making this a great time and a future event! Great job by J-Fab for driving his scaler so well he won a XR-10.

LCQ day was intensely F-U-N! Drivers who competed in the LCQ where challenged and undoubtedly earned their way into the Championships. LCQ courses pushed rigs, drivers, and their mental prowess to their limits. Some stepped up laughing, while others went home with a novel of notes on things to practice.

Championship day, drivers were kept in the dark on comp location and to see drivers faces when they seen courses 1, 2, and 3 were priceless. C-1, C-2, and C-3 featured the biggest water feature I've ever built and I called it the Yuba River! OK, I must give credit where its due and Mother Nature helped some, but the drivers who tamed these courses drove their tails off. C-4 and C-5 had completely different rock and drivers were franticly fighting with rig set up for all the changing conditions.

What a great AWCC. Thank you to AXIAL, FUTABA, NOVAK, RCC, EXTRME RC MAGAZINE, PROLINE, VANQUISH PRODUCTS for bringing you, the driver, the 2010 Axial West Coast Championships. A special thanks to PITBULL TIRES for challenging all the drivers on the bonus lines and rewarding them with "ROCKER" prims.

Thank you Judges, Volunteers, and Drivers, without you none of this is possible.

A huge thanks to RCC for the live coverage. RockCandy RCC for their support and help.

To those select few who know who they are, I am proud of your efforts and the sacrafices that you made this weekend, it will forever change your life. I know it did mine 4 years ago with this event and I was better for it, as will you all be! Thank You.

Thanks to my sponsors for belieiving in my insanity and giving me the support I need to do what I do!

Here are the results of the 2010 AXIAL WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS.

YOU ROCK SKEENO!
Thanks for that.

It would have taken Parker 3 1/2 hours to do that.

Since I am not familiar with the drivers and thier trucks, Is there any way to tell what everyone drove. Looking for the Top 10 trucks and brands. I believe this will also help promote brands and vendors.

I am man enough to say that I came in dead last in the LCQ , and proud to say that my 14 year old Son strait up beat me, but came in second to last
We have both only been crawling for a couple of months at best. We had the time of our life's doing this, with the best that the sport has to offer We learned a lot from some great people and still after being home for a day and a half now, I cannot figure out how one gets a -120 on these courses that Parkers sick mind came up with!

After seeing what our truck cant or couldn't do during the LCQ we went back to camp and made a ton of adjustments that a lot of people gave us tips on. Stayed up half the night, making these changes and went back out the same rocks for the LCQ and made 2/3 of the lines we couldn't do the morning before Wish I would have talked to more people the night before the LCQ for setups

Thanks again to Axial for a great event. We hope to attend many more over the coming years.. I would also like to thank Tekin Racing and my Son & I were glad to support a hometown & local vendor of the sport.

I came 5 spots ahead of you, I really thought I had come last, I am pretty sure we will come out scoring higher in the future; so now I am gonna go practice.

Nothing wrong with "dead ass last". A lot of talented drivers have started their crawler career from that postion.
