Here are the basics for entering the Chili Cookoff that will be held on Sunday, February 22nd

Entry fee is Free for chili cookers.
$10 Entry fee for anyone not cooking chili, this will cover Styrofoam cups and spoons and napkins for everyone,
this will also cover several non alcoholic beverages, the Keg, and 7-10 other types of alcoholic bottled beverages.
and of course chili (till supplies run out)

RULES:
A list of ingredients (not recipe) is required. (for people that might be allergic to something)
Each participant should make approximately 2 gallons (8 quarts) of chili and it must be made on site at the Cookoff.

All chili must be prepared out in the open; from scratch
starting with Pre-cooked meat is allowed, but no spicing, or marinating of meat ahead of time or during cooking, is allowed.
the meat must be free of all added flavor before entering the pot.
No Dry or Wet chili mixes permitted.
"Chili" or Spiced beans from a can are considered a type of wet chili mix, these are just pre-flavored beans.
Red or White chili is acceptable, Veggie or Meat.
Pretty much anything else goes.

You will need to bring your own table, extension cord (if needed), and cooking device, and chairs as needed
several electrical outlets will be available. You may cook with an electric cooker, crock pots. or gas, whatever you prefer.

Doors open at 8 AM for contestants and helpers, and 12 Noon for Eating.
Your chili must be able to be tested by 12 Noon. so come early to get as much cooking time as needed.

The Tasters will by peoples choice voting, choose a 1st, and 2nd Place winners
Those winners will receive a 1st and 2nd place plaques.
