I just looked through the times, and to make 1.9 work, I'd have to start running 2.2 by 9:00 AM and limit the field to 35 2.2 drivers and 20 1.9 drivers. I would run 4 2.2 courses + a finals course and 2 to 3 1.9 courses...not sure about getting a finals course in before dark. In order to do all that, I'd have to have some serious help, and probably have courses setup either very early that morning or the night before. In order to make all that happen, I'm going to have to have judges that I can rely on along with a couple more people helping behind the scenes. I really need to hear from some people to see if there's enough interest to make these changes. I love running 1.9's, but not at the expence of thinning out the comp experience for everybody. As for fees, I'm leaning toward $25 for first class and $15 to add the 2nd class (if we decide to run a 2nd class) if payed via paypal by October 7th ($35 for first class and $20 for 2nd class if payed at the event). All money would go toward comp expenses, (nice) trophies and driver's raffle prizes (1 raffle ticket per person). I'm actually leaning toward a small side event for the 1.9's if there's enough interest, instead of dedicating several hours to the class. Last edited by EvilTwin v2; 09-04-2011 at 05:11 PM. |

After thinking about this all night, I decided that due to it getting dark too early in October, I'm not going to dedicate part of the day to running a full comp for the 1.9's. If there's enough interest, I might try to put together smaller side event(s). Anyway, the format is set as: - 2.2 comp. - The number of courses will depend on the judging situation. My goal is for 4 courses, but that all depends on if we can get enough volunteers to man that many courses. Plus a finals course for at least the top 5. - Courses will be comprised of 8 gates each with the possibility of extra bonus gates. - Fees: $25 per person if pre-register by midnight October 7th (Eastern time). $35 per person the day of the event. (this will ensure the best driver's raffle prizes and trophies). PM me for paypal information... Early Registration Discount: $20 if you pay by September 12th. - Judges: We can't have a comp without judges. Contact me as soon as possible to discuss judging. There will be benefits to judging (partial refund, etc.) |

Here's a pic of a 1:1 on the rocks. There have since been a couple more tri-axles of rock brought in. The last time I was there, they had one side built up with considerably more elevation. | |
