Default NEPA Crawler Park, Wilkes Barre

I have been gradually building this park behind my father in law's business in Wilkes-Barre, Pa for the past few weeks. It has a long ways to go to be on the level i would like to get it to, but myself and a few others work on it whenever we get a chance.

There is a hobbyshop on site (time flys hobbytown) which I also work for in the summer. We're gradually building our stock of crawler parts and accessories to cater to the needs of the crawlers. The park is open weekends 1pm-dark. entry is $10 with a signed waiver. closed toes shoes are a must because it is on a steep hill. we will be working on cutting some trails into the hill to make it easier to climb to the top in some areas but otherwise it is pretty challenging. all told its about 1/2 acre. It really challenges my stock wraith.

here's a link to pictures and info on the hobby shop's website

Crawler Park

hopefully we'll see some of you guys in the near future.

any questions feel free to email me @ timeflysdome@gmail.com. and I will respond asap

thanks for looking

Ian

sorry if this is in the wrong section, just hoping to let fellow enthusiasts know about the park i built via a regional section.

for those of you interested in stopping by we will probably be doing a discounted entry fee some weekend in october when the weather looks good to bring some more people in to get some input for the future and feedback on what we have done so far.

also we are considering allowing people to come in and help work on the park in exchange for a few free entry passes.

all of this still has yet top be firmed up.

but in the mean time i cut a new switch back into the one end of the hill and build some rock gardens into the trail. pictures below:

more rock gardens were added after the above picture was taken

Looking forward to having you guys come up john, i've been lurking over there in the shadows for a day or 2. plan to start posting more overthere at some point. intro thread and all that.

shoot me a pm when you guys are thinking of coming up. I will be gone on my honeymoon starting tomorrow night but the other guy who works the onsite hobbyshop will be there to tend to things. More trail building will be done after I get back on 10/6. will see how it plays out but there is alot of room to play with still in the 1/2 acre i've roped off for use.and it only is using about half of the available area, in the future i could double the size if i wanted too. but thats a ways out.
