Thumbs up

Welcome to RCC. It's good to see some Steel City guys on here! Where at in PGH are you? There are a few crawlers in the area, but we're south of the city, mostly westmoreland county, but there are a few spots out here.. I have seen a few guys on here from PGH, but haven't talked to them. I have been trying to start a crawling group/club in this area. Check out the thread Any Pennsylvania Crawlers Out There...?. We had a GTG last saturday, and only a few guys made it. It was COLD. I don't know if we'll be able to GTG until the weather breaks. WMJ is in jan. It's an indoor event, racing and crawling. We'll all be there.

Welcome ZR2...
I am in Washington, PA. I know exactly where Etna is. I used to have an office on Friday St. in Millvale. Make sure that you subscribe to the link that Coles listed. That is where all the planning is made. I was one of the "wimps" that did not brave the cold last saturday. 27 degrees is just too cold.

Keep in Touch with everyone.

HEY ZR2 no problem with the scaler. Check out my build Scale Blazer Build And you might wanna look into WMB in Bradenville Jan 6th-7th. There'll be racing on Sat and crawln on Sun. It was a blast last time. Plus it's always cool to put a face to all theese screen names!

I own/work at Raceway Hobbies in New Stanton, 724-925-3225. I try to keep crawling stuff( wheels, tires, bodies, links, rod ends, ect) on stock. If you can't make it out there give me a call I'm sure I can help you out with your build.

,Matt

ZR2,
It all depends on how much you want to do yourself. My first crawler, I bought a lot of stuff. I have been more creative now and it becomes less money but more of your time. I, myself, enjoy doing this. There are still things that you have to buy.

Figure how much you have to spend and build the best crawler you can with those funds. You can always add as you go.

Best thing is to subscribe to the following link. Weather is the factor now. The next GTG will be WMJ on the 6th & 7th.
