Drove it at the ice race this last weekend and it definitely seems to be a diff issue. As soon as the carbon fiber chassis comes I will do a full car rebuild and see if the diff issue can be fixed.

I look forward to seeing the new chassis.

I run my rear diff as loose as possible (low cst fluid) for the street but rally maybe different since things are slippy. Also shimming the diff out drives with a 5mm shim will remove alot of slop in the gear mesh.

I just built mine but still need electronics. Just stumped on what to get but I really like Castle stuff. 5700 is what I'm thinking. What are your opinions?

I put a Castle CC11501 SV3 Sidewinder Combo ESC 1406 with 4600kV brushless motor in my XV-01 and I'm plenty happy with its performance. Runs fairly cool, goes like stink. 5700kV would be a bit of a handful IMHO, but maybe I'm just getting old ;-)

I appreciate your advice I may go with this combo. Did you have to run longer wires from the motor to esc?

Hi, IIRC the original Castle motor wires were long enough (been a while since I built this and I don't remember having to fit longer wires in the motor):

Ordered my 4600 and a servo saver. My car is all built just sitting there..............waiting. Still have to finish the body. It was an awesome build. This is a great thread that over the past two weeks I've read about three times. Very informative. I can't wait to get it up and running. Now it's time to start buying those nice Tamiya hop ups!

Well my motor and esc came. I just learned the hard way that new style Castle motors won't fit due to the wire soldering posts collide with the motor brace. It won't fit all the way through. I just bought an older style 4600 on ebay. Oh well guess I'll have a nice motor for a future project. Also the Sidewinder 3 esc won't fit in the electronics bow and allow room for the receiver. I had to shave down some of the plastic inside the box where the screws mount the box lid. And, theres no way the lid is fitting on the bow with the way the esc wire posts are positioned so I'm going to modify that. Cant wait to get this thing running!

So I am planning on a XV-01 build. I have noticed that some like Steve H. have been having difficulty with the new Castle esc/motor combos. What is everyone else using that fits and can deal with all of the dust? Hobbywing?

Hobby Wing XR10 Stock Spec.. has smallfoot print, can run with or without fan and fits perfextly. Can be run blindly or with timing and boost

I see you used magnet body posts, do you have the reference number and are they strong enough? I'd like to use them on a Delta body.

The internal protection for dust with plastic and foam is really well done! Could you explain more about that? Thank you

I have just got the XV-01 Lancia Delta kit and getting near the end of the build,looking a geometry and stuff.
I am sorry if this has been covered in this thread earlier BUT I have not had time to fully read all post and would like to find a answer to this issue I have.
The rear wheels have unequal toe in. all the linkages and ball joints and spacers in the wishbones are all in correct holes on both sides.
How do you adjust toe in on the rear anyway,the manual seems to point to the spacers on the wishbone pivot rod. but all that would do is move the wishbone forward and aft evenly,no toe in would be induced? Tamiyas quality is too good for me to have a missalinement in hole etc.
any ideas please?

Toe is determined by the suspension blocks, the pieces that attach arms to chassis.
