Is their going to be a live feed from the comp this year

I am going to say yes....because Jason was able to do it a few weeks ago from the comp spot.

Thats my guess anyway

Yes. I have spent a lot of time working on a better streaming system to allow not just Windows PC's with IE to view it. Everyone should now be able to view the live feed with Mac's, Firefox, IE, Safari.

With the new technology we are going to be using, we should be able to stream a live feed just about 24 hours a day. Because at the RCC Nationals, the comps during the day are just half the fun.

If you can watch these archived videos then you should be able to watch the live feed from the Nats.

As Badger said he has been working his ass off to make sure we can have a good quality stream going most of the weekend.

We'll figure out where to put the camera at the event, it'll more than likely just be an overview of the scene it won't be filming the actual courses. We may try to have the camera follow the top 5 through the finals courses each day though.

We will also have the camera running all night each night at the parties so you can all see what else Nats is all about. It's a lot more than just a rockcrawling competition. ;)

We will also have a camcorder taking close up footage of the competition and will have that coverage streaming on RCC that night.

I will create a live coverage thread when we are ready to let everyone know what is going on with the coverage.

Here is the coverage we expect to provide this year:

Live stream from tech
Live stream from drivers meeting
Live stream from awards
Live stream overlooking the entire event with audio so you can hear the announcements and music throughout the day.
Pictures and updates posted throughout the day in the live coverage thread.
Live stream at the condos overlooking the nightly parties and general mayhem.
Archived stream of the that days close up video coverage from the RCC camcorder.

There will also be a RCC Live image at the top of forums indicating when the live stream is on.

thanks badger for working on that. I have been trying to figure out what was up with my computer but now it works on those videos posted above
