Anyway, I think a swap meet is a great idea. I'm sure many people will take advantage of it. Any idea where it will be held? I know nothing on the matter, but since it was difficult to secure the location for the event, it might not be possible to add a swap meet. Just food for thought.
I will check with slick rock campgroound inthe morning Im sure they would not object since we have a few of us staying there.

What day do you guys plan on holding this swap meet? Saturday during the comp, or Sunday during the trail ride?

Count me out. Sounds like work and might cut into my drinking time.

I guess I'm out, too..... since Rizzo and I will be drinking from the same beer stash...... don't want him drinking it all without my help!

We've tried to do a swap meet type thing at a few of our local comps.... usually after being on the rocks all day, folks are tired and hungry; a swap meet is the farthest thing from their minds. A swap meet sounds like a great idea, but like others said, finding time to get everyone together to do it will be difficult.

You go do your little swap thing. The beer will be just fine.

I agee most people just want to relax and have a beer or whatever after a long day in the sun. The only way I think the swap meet will work is if it is held on location at the comp and fun crawl. That way people can check it out B4, between and after thier runs.

Or someone could just make a "wanted", & a "for-sale" thread in the USRCCA forums (strictly for Moab). So people already know who will bring what & who needs what...

Exactly. I doesn't have to be a big formal swap meet thing. It can be just a casual thing... like out of the back of our cars.

"Get your Giant tracs here... Blah blah blah" Signs on the cars... etc...

HeII. I'll bring some UTRCRC T-shirts to sell out the back of my car if anyone wants them. And when peoples bodies don't pass inspection there will be some, "Does anyone have a body?"
