Default My Bully Build 4th 2009 Comp Rig

Well I finally got this thing a roller that I'm happy with.

Spec's
Axles: Rc4wd Bully's
Wheels: Bergs soon to be Mayhems
Tires: Panthers
Chassis: Custom
ESC: CC SW
Servo: MG946R
Radio gear: DX3R
Battery: Small 3 cell Lipo
Front and Rear Digs
Body: Jp newest Comp body (not out yet)
Motors: Venom 50T handwounds

The chassis uses 60mm Shocks in the rear and Torsion in the front like KK's design, but I was able to get pretty close to the same Link Geometry has the DoubleD had. The chassis is under 10in long and 2.5in tall. Each side plate weighed .7oz... I went with the KK lower links. I've been wanting to use these links for some time. but they just wouldn't fit my other rigs well. This chassis worked out great with the Bullys huge gear housing on the front. The rear I had to flip the axle. The housing was hitting the chassis. With all the different mounting point for the upper links. I was able to use Revo pushrods from the front and rear upper links. I'm pretty stoked to get this running. It just has a mean look to it. I just hope these Bullies can prove themselves for the 2009 Comp season.

On to a few Pic's.

The way it sits right now. It has a 12-3/8in Wheelbase and 3-1/2in Center clearance. Might lower it down to 3-1/8in, but I'm going to run it like this for a while.

Looks really good, is there a reason why everybody running those lower links run them with the recess facing out?

Thanks.. On the links I can't answer that. I do plan on taking them back off and sanding all the edges down to give them a rounder shape.

If you take the edges off the corners they become noodles.....way too flexible. Maybe ask Jeff, but I believe that taking off the corners takes away the strength of them.

I've been running Torsions for years. This is the first year I've ran Shocks.. Figured I'd slowly ease my way into using Shocks.

I like it. The bullys are a tight fit with shocks in most any configuration because the huge gears and pre clocked make for a gearbox in the way. Looks like you found a way around that!

So far everything has bolted up easy. Besides the Rear axle clearance.

More Pic's.. I should have my new motors in anyday now. I might just throw a Cheap ESC in it and get it running faster.

I smoothed the corners on mine with absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Worked well for me. I smoothed the ends of the links down to the same size as the revo ends.

Smooth as buttah.

Did you balance the axles before swapping the rear around? I would think it would make one side heavier with both motors facing the same way instead of just unbolting the tubes and clocking them all the way over.

I don't think it's going to make that much difference if any at all. I've been running my 2.2 Clod the same way for years. I've never noticed any issues with it being flipped.
