Default SSS Bully

Simply question, has anyone built an SSS with Bully axles?
If they have, any good? Or should I go with a MOA Slingshot?

I realise it's personal preference, but I wondered if it was possible or not

It would be a very good setup, I just dont know if the SSS would support an MOA but you never know until you try it. I know that I absolutely love the chassis!

Has anyone sent Don (billet works) a PM?

He can probably give you the answer to this one.

From what I have seen in other SSS builds and my own...the Bully axles being so heavy may actually overflex the SSS. With just AX axles and DNA's light Psycho wheels, mine has a good amount of flex already.

Only way to find out is to try.

The idea has me interested but it's not really that big of a deal to me.

I went the email route as I figured some of the guys in this thread would have sent pm's? And maybe Don or someone would have seen this thread?

Anyways I'll wait patiently to see what the answer is?

The SSS would not be an optimal chassis for an MOA. The extreme amount of weight in the axles will overflex like offroader said. You willl also risk breaking the chassis and I would actually expect it.

Take advantage of what an MOA has to offer, the SSS is not a good idea for an MOA.

Correct, I know someone who put as SSS on an MOA, and he didn't like the performance.

Don is out of town.I would think the axles are gonna be to heavy. The SSS is made for light axles.

I'm working on a project that involves the SSS chassis & Quicksand Miniclod axles... it's already mocked up, sorta, kinda....whatever. It looks good so far. Just ordered a MOA skid from Dna, it's about 1/2 inch wider than the SSS skid, so I don't have to twist the torsion arm as much. As for the weight issue, I'm looking into using the Holmes 454 motors, it's lighter and the smaller diameter cans will help clear the links more then the standard 540 cans. Most likely will getting the fxr to hook up with 3 s lipo. I will test it with integy 45's with rooster crawler esc with 2s lipo to see how it runs before I drop the bucks on fxr and 454's.
