Well, after a few more emails from Futaba, I will be ditching these servos. They are wanting all receipts (for gears and original servo....which was purchased quite a while ago) and wanting everything sent back for inspection.

I cant stand the customer service provided by larger companies....

I am sure it's in this thread somewhere but can you give me a run down on your shock set up on this rig? My V3 Bully just seems top heavy but I can't figure out why. was thinking it might be that I need to internal limit the shocks. But next to my v4 XR it seems unstable.

Sure......I run the Kyosho 46mm RT5 shocks. I have the rears setup with Losi Gold springs and internally limited by 1/2" and running 35 weight oil. I have the fronts setup without limiters, but running Losi Mini-T pink springs with spring cups made by DrFrank and 35 weight oil. The pink springs inherently limit the shocks by almost 1/2".

once you go hitec you never go back. I can get almost all my parts minus amplifiers and motors and hitec more often than not will cover items like blown gears even out of warranty. just not water damaged boards or motors :( .

Jeremy I have gone through your whole thread. and now thanks to the information youve given not even so much on the build but more so on the handling of the V3 Bullyjuice despite its height and weight. I am confident in my build. I was leary of the height but the weight counters for it. now I just need to get some lone wolf skids.
but as some extra info while my rig gets buttoned up. could you post some pictures of link mounting on the axles particularly the lowers and where for that matter they rub on your gearbox? that has been the biggest issue. I have spacers on all of my links and shocks due to the gearbox size. I was almost discouraged enough to go berg. but i realized when people compare rigs. now they compare xr's and bully's bergs are just a thing of the past.

thanks for the thread and info. hope to comp with you sometime in the near future

Unfortunately, I do not. A buddy built that for me. It was one of the first prototypes and is still going strong!

JP Custom RCs sells them for him:

and here is the steering arm that works well with the mount:

Sorry for the late reply....but yes, I can post a few pictures of the lower link mounts at the axle. I will do that this evening when I get home from work.

Jeremy
So this is what you do at work, do you work for the city or something.

I'm looking forward to seeing your pics too.

Haha....Fridays is my boring day....am on the computer for a good portion of the day. I have to check the chart of every single patient at our facility...we are currently treating 60 patients.
