| New Bully Build.....Need Help.. Please
Well to start off with this is my second build for a MOA... First started with the HR setup.. :-( Dont spend your money on them, much better off going with the Bullys or Berg setup.. So it was time for a new one.. So for specs....... Bully Axles with the new heavy duty outer nuckles..... PunkRC dig Tekin FXR 2x 45t motors Vanquish MOA Chassis Losi's crawler suspension CKRC's bent lowers Some other stuff that is coming off of my other crawler.. AKA servo, rims and tires... No need to repurchase.. LOL So my question.....HELP two things.. 45T motors or 35T motors????? Next Im using the new Losi Crawler Suspension.. Threaded bodies, nice kit... No complaints... Issue is that I dont want it to bind under full load or compression... Meaning on the losi suspension one end is a ball.. The other is an open eye loop or whatever.. What kind of spacer or adapter can I get so when im attaching to the chassis it will have movement and will not bind??? Please help guys Thank you for your help and opinions in advance.... I will post pics in the morning Oh it is morning.. LOL its 12midnight and im on the web.. Thanks Justin LOSI6821 |

Hello, i would recomend 45T and 3s with standard pinons (12T). On the non balled end of the shocks you can use silcon tube or, better, modify them with rod ends and balls. Greetings Frank |

You can use a longer screw, put a half inch of silicon fuel tube on it and use that for the non ball end or you can get out your dremel, cut off that end and drill a hole in it, then just use a short screw to attach another ball end to it and seal it all up with epoxy resin.

I usually do as Culetto described with the fuel tubing. I use a washer, though, to keep the fuel tube from slipping over the screw head. As for the motor, I run 35t handwounds, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I like the wheelspeed, and it still has great low speed resolution. I, personally, use the Tekin Handwounds, but the JP Warriors or the Holmes Hobby's are great motors, too. |

ok so im running the same set up and heres a few thingsi have noticed- 1 35 turns are overkill at least for me. the wheel speeds great but i try not to ever go full speed on any course unless its inbetween gates and then your leaving your self open to stupid mistakes. i woudl go with 45s if i had the choice i would go 45s next time around and im actually plan on switching here in the next few months. youll get way longer runs times and the little less throlle will help with the stupid mistakes at comps. secondly with losi shocks and the vanquish chassis your goign to have to limit the shocks by over an inch to get your belly height to comp readyness and to lower your cog. without limiting your looking at a 4+ inch belly clearance depending on where you mount everything >_< wayy to high for my book and really top heavy even with the nice heavy bullys. also im in the process of testing now but i woudl but a spacer between the shock and the chassis you will bind!!! im doing the same thing with fuel tubeing/washer my shocks kept pulling off and i had to losen up the bolt holding the shocks to the chassis a bit and i now have axel steer. ive gotten used to it but im goingto fix it after my comp next week. feel free to pm me with any other questions allways willing to help and since i was the first ginnypig for the chassis/axle setup im full of useless knowledge feel free to check out my build thread thx - James

For shock mounts, use the ones from the Losi crawler http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSA5012 |

| I'm also on 12t pinions. I put on 65T motors for the simple matter they were lying around when I did the build. I find their torque great and their speed decent, but they feel a little slow in dig situations. I'm going to change them out for 55T. First, this has more to do with driving style than measurable, right/wrong performance analysis. I'm a driver who prefers very slow ultra-low-speed control. For me, 35's just wouldn't offer enough ultra-low-speed control they would want to jerk, jerk and then just take off when enough power gets added, and too much explosiveness on burst situations. Of your two choices, I'd pick 45T's. As I've already mentioned, I personally will be happy with 55's. Edit: Oh yea, like RunninJeep said, 3 cell LiPo power. That matters too. |

I'm really happy with the 55 turn motors. I do prefer the integy v10 over the brown can.
