| My 2.2 Bully
I didnt get a chance to do a build thread on this because it had to be done quick for Midwest Challenge and I was busy getting customers paint work done before then too. Well here is what the rig consisit of: 2.2 EX DNA Snipers machined down to 3.5oz with a one off look done by Angryone at Anger Inc. White HB Rover's with dual stage Nova foams. Had cast Bully axles on front and rear but it was too heavy for the Integy motors I had at the time so i got rid of the cast rear and bought the Light weight rear from RC4WD. HITEC 7955TG servo 3.5" Duratrax shocks on rear with grey Losi springs. 4" Duratrax shocks on front with Gold Losi springs. JP Customs Hellstorm chasis with high clearance links. Holmes Hobbies 30 turn Torquemasters(badass motors)12t pinion on rear and 13tpinion up front. PunkRC dig Tekin FXR esc Spektrum DX3 controller with SR3000 CCbec After running at Midwest Challenge I noticed that I need to do some more changes to my rig to make it perform better. I am going to put the 3.5" shocks up front cause there was to much drop out in the front. And I also decided that I wanted to loose some more weight up front so I have the Light weight Bully axle, cant wait till it gets here. The rig sits at 12.25" when suspesion is settled and it drops to 12.5" when compressed with the body on, it has a 10" track width and weighs 6lbs 10oz. I will drop the 10oz when i get the Light weight bully axles on it so it should crawl nice up some steep hills. I want to thank RC4WD for designing some kickass axles that are really tough without haveing to buy extra parts. I would also like to thank them for listening to their customers. Well here are some pics of my rig, it is a little dusty cause the comp was pretty dusty, lol. Last edited by jwalker; 03-09-2010 at 07:27 PM. |

Where did you get the skids for the axles? I am new to the Bullys and those look like a great idea.

Well i ran my rig at Midwest challenge and found out that the front end was to heavy. I had ordered a light wieght RC4WD Bully axle to cut the wieght down. I beleive it wieghed in at around 5lbs 12oz. Rand it at a comp Saturday and it performed well but now my front end is a little to light and i had put a shorter front shocks on. It side hills great but there isnt enough wieght to keep the front axle planted on ledges. I am going to take the cast axle tubes and knuckles and install them on the light weight gearcase to ad some weight to the front to get the better bias that I need. Here is my rig in action with the light weight axles on it. |

If your having a hard time keeping the front end down. Try raising the Rear upper links up a row or two on the chassis. Pic's look cool.... That 5th pic has one hell of an undercut.. |
