Default UPDATED 3/16/10 My Super Bully build.

I finally decided to build a super, I have like 2 sets of bully axles with plenty of spare parts to build the axles. The axles will be a midwidth which will put the track width at 12" and the wheel base will be 16" long. I was going to build a straight axle for the rear with dig but i decided to go with 4 wheel steering with duel esc's so i can control both motors seperatly so it acts like dig. Here is the list of stuff that i am doing to it:

Dual Tekin FXR esc
2 HITEC 7955 servos
Spektrum DX6I controller
40series beedlocks that will be narrowed
Panther Leopards that will be cut and shut with Moab sidewalls that will measure 7" tall and 2" wide.
JPCustoms Hellstorm chasis
Delrin links with Revo rod ends
JPConcept Gate Crusher body
Holmes Hobbies Torquemaster motors(tun not decided)
CCbec
Revo shocks

This thing should be sick when i get it done, here are some pics of what i am at now, will keep you guys updated.

Are you using the 2.2 Hellstrom or the Super Hellstrom?

Are you planing on doing any steering modification, or leave it alone sense you are using the medium width axles?

Got some more work done on my axles. I had to take the long tubes for the front and rear and knotch them so they would fit on the case where the short tube is supposed to go.

When i assembled the axles the shafts would not fit correctly, they stuck out to far on the side that i added the long tubes. The steering knuckle wouldnt allow the screws to go into the tube and the rear axle shaft was sticking out to far. I had to do some modifications to the shafts. The front was easy, shaved some material off the inner part of the shaft so it would go into the diff further and the the steering knuckle fit perfectly. The rear took a little bit more work, shaved the same amount off the inner part but when i assembled the tube the axle shaft wold slide out cause i lost the spot where the c clip went. I fixed it buy cutting another groove and 1/8" from its original spot to allow the shaft the stay locked in.

I am happy with the end result, the axles are 10" wide from tip to tip. It will give me a 12" track width when i install the wheels which is considered as the mid width super axles. Here is the end result.

Default Wheels/Tires

Got a package from Jesse to work on.

Finished narrowing the wheels down to ~1.8" last night. Used 2 part epoxy and the sectioned out wheel for support. Tires are next.
