| shock cup problem eliminator......For bully guys.
This may be totally redundant,and/or common knowledge(If so I will happily delete this),but I actually did think of this myself out of neccissity. My shock cups would become dislodged, and my springs displaced. Take a piece of heat shrink tube.(not the stuff w. glue inside)Cut about 5/8" and slide it over the cup and a bit of the spring bottom(or top if you have em upside down)And lay the heat gun to em.It works very well. Popping my cups and springs was really driving me nuts! Now my tires can rub like mad(and sadly they do!)and no issues with farting around with my springs.I am going to resolve the rubbing issue, but I like the fact that my springs and cups are staying put regardless of rubbing. |

Just make sure not to use the stuff with glue in it!!It gets pretty tough to remove!

| I'm gonna times in with X's 4. I was thinking the other day that would be a good mod since I'm running my shocks inverted. Low and behold while I was out testing tire sipes one of the cups fell out right in front of me while I was flexed out. Instantly I thought of this tip and picked up some of my shrink wrap on the way back across town. I used to drill a small hole in the cup and strip the paper off of a bread tie and feed the wire around a few times back when I raced trucks but after a while (or a few good hits) the hole would crack and the fix would fail. It might work good for crawling but this tip seems like a good option for containing the spring all the way around the cup. |
