Default 4th and G's "Pinch Yo Sack Pimp" Bully Build

Aight so i've been collecting parts for this for quite some time.

i'm waiting in some Steering components from some of the stellar RCC Vendors:

-East End Machine (Steering Servo Mount)
-RC4WD (Machined Rear Housing and Tubes)
-Black Label Crawlers Carbon Fiber Upper Links (I'm stoked for these, shoudl look wicked with everything blacked out)
-Losi Gold Springs

Spec's on the rig:
-Bully Axles V2 (Cast front, Machined Rear) Modified for 50 degree steering.
-Vanquish SLW 0.7" Rims (725 front hubs, 600 rear hubs
-Rover Whites (just like all the cool kids were running before the Sedonas)
-Modified Black Label Crawlers Special K Chassis (Full Delrin Version)
-Punk RC Dig Switch
-Tekin FX-R
-JR9001 Ground Servo
-Losi Shocks (Soon to be Axial Comp Shocks)
-Gold Losi Spring
-Turnegy 1350 MAh 3S (mounted on the back axle
-35 Turn motors soon to be swapped out for some Holmes Handwounds.

Belly Clearance is 3.25"
Chassis side plates are 1.75" wide
Skid plate is 2" wide.
Chassis is 3" tall

The links still need to be sanded smooth at the rod ends. The battery mount needs to be made and sent to the powder coater. and the shock mounts are temporary.

Once the rig is build it will be taken apart for final fit and finish before wiring. All wiring will be wrapped in black netting to hide the colours.

Here are the spy pics (The body is temporary, borrowed from my shafty)

the electronics will be mounted under the upper arms in the front.

hopefully the chassis will only contain the receiver.

Hello,

looking good so far, very nice link design

Punk dig and ESC under the front links should give a tight fit, let us
see how it works.

Greetings Frank

i got the rear battery tray made. Waiting for one of our TIG welders to be set-up for aluminum so i can tig an end cap on it.

i got it wired last night! pics will follow tonight. this is the cleanest wiring job i have ever don on an RC. All wires are wrapped in the chinese finger trap style of black netted wire loom. super clean. i did install the rear motors wires backwars. kinda funny trying to drive the thing.

i've never run a sprun rig before. with the amount of grip you get its cool the dig will grab the front and suck the suspension down effectively increasing the wheel base by abotu 1/8" i guess for those climbs every little bit counts.

care to explain why? this is an impossibility unless your lower arms are parralele to the ground whick unless yoru running droop would be a stoopid low skid plate.

I just read through the rules and nowhere does it mention this must be the case in the rules.

well try it on your own rig and see for your self...if your sprung rig is sitting at 12.5" at ride height then there is a really good chance that when you compress the suspension down(like digging) that the WB will grow past the 12.5" MAX allowed wheel base...yeah link placement plays a role...but most ALL sprung rigs I have seen seem to grow/stretch..
the part in the rules where is says 12.5" maximum wheelbase is in the rules and is the part I'm referring too...
you even said in your post that your WB grew by 1/8" so you already know that answer

long as your WB is never over 12.5"...ever.... your fine..but if it is increasing like you posted and your 12.5" at ride height then your probably not legal.
Cheers...

if you read the rules carfully.

they state the wheel base is maximum 12.5" measured at ride height on level ground. so technically there is no mention of your wheel base must remain at 12.5" max through your suspension travel.

i know its semantics but......
