Default The Speed Metal Moonbully

Ive built my first Bully! This is my first stab at putting together an entire rig myself.I actually had it all running with the electronics all velcro'd in the chassis for some test runs on the rock before trying to stuff it all in as nice as I could. The rig works way beyond my expectations.Very happy with the the whole package. Thanks to the guys on here that steered me in the right direction parts wise.Im still working on some skins.

Cast front
Machined rear
.7 slw's
HB rovers(white)
Panther foams(need to tweak the foams..)
Fantom Blitz 35T's
T1E Moonbuggy chassis
T1E rear links
JP front links
Uppers made by Speed Metal Alloys
RC4WD steering(have Xirtic,going to install soon)
Hitec HS-7950TH(Robotronics horn is in the mail)
HPI Firestorm shocks 60 wt.
Losi whites in the rear, and HPI black up front
Holmes torque master BR-XL ESC
Punk Dig
Spectrum radio
Speed Metal Alloys Battery tray
3S lipos

The Roller

The final

No room at all in here....I had to noodle on this a bit.

Thanks! It actually is red.Its too bad that the flash kept making it look pink!It actually looks pretty darn good for my first dye job.Anyways, took it out for the first time today and it was a blast. No issues,no breakdowns in 4+ hrs of crawling, except the foams were a bit soft.Sidehilling was tough as the tires were rolling way too far over.Other than that it was hanging with the other rigs nicely
Im happy!Im going to do some foam re+re,and see how she goes.
Stoked!

Hey thanks!Yeah,a little stand would be great.I was balancing the camera on rocks, trying to actually get the dang thing from falling over.
The truck is working better than initially for sure.I limited the shocks a shade, flipped em over and made a "crash style" servo guard for it.It sidehills pretty well, and seems to climb OK.The foams in the rovers kinda blow,(they hop a bit)but ive got a solution(hopefully)in the mail.

They were in the 100 mm range.I mocked it up and measured when I had the wheelbase, etc. where I thought it would work out.I actually mocked up the length height ect.then picked mount points in the chassis that were the middle ground, and went from there.after fabricating the links,I adjusted from there.

Small update on this rig...

I moved the rear uppers to the top of the mounting holes on the chassis, and it made a huge difference with keeping the front planted.I was surprised actually how much of a diff it made.Ive been thumping on it,no issues yet. Also got some nova foams in there, also a huge difference compared to the stockers.
