Default Simple Shock Mount

I thought I would post up a simple but (so far) effective way I found to mount shocks that don't come with an upper ball (Duratrax, Losi, Taxxas, etc.). I might not be the first to come up with this but I haven't seen any posts so I thought I would share. Hopefully some will find this helpful.

It's very simple. Take a ball end from a Traxxas rod end and remove one side with a dremel cut-off wheel:

Mount up with an appropriate sized spacer on the body side and a small washer on the cut-off side. On my fronts I have found it works better with a spacer on each side.

And there you go:

I have been running this for a couple of months and it is working well. I did have to play with the washers a bit depending on the angle of the shock. Overall, it is a lot smoother than fuel tubing.

I like that; won't squish up and bind like fuel tubing.
