Default Fallin Apart 1st HaVoc build now passed onto my Dad

I started with a bully rtr from RC4WD its all stock except tires and wheels and the body mounts, I recently got a JPcustom HaVoc chassis that I got that was used but in good shape.

onto the pictures

after a few minutes of taking it apart I had the rear off

got more work done on it took the front off then i had too find some screws to fit the HaVoc chassis for the links

kinda of a pain to get the right size screws to fit the lower links with what i had laying around, finally found some in my tool box that were all the same size

going to be running the stock shocks for now untill I can find some better one's

front axle mounted to the chassis, working on the rear axle now,

going to leave the rear shocks on it for now to see how well it does, its not really set up for torsion right now but it flexes pretty well for just putting the links in the hole's

Good start Austin, it looks a little high, though. What is your ground clearance at the skid? You might need to limit the shocks until you get some new ones. Also, you need to run cross braces between or near the upper shock mounts. I eventually ran my HaVoc with shocks on all four corners, but you have to "lock out" the torsion end with the braces so the shocks don't fight the torsion twist or it gets too sloppy. My torsion end was in droop to get the right ride height, left the other end sprung. Let me know if I can help with anything.

from the bottom of the skid it sits at 4.5" which I think sits a little high I plan on getting some 90mm yeah racing shock to put all the way around which should lower the truck some.

Yeah, that's a little high. The highest point on our slanted skids is about 3 3/4"; on your level skid, you might want around 3 1/2". The 90mm shocks will help a bunch, and the Yeah Racing shocks have worked well for me.

Yeah it may sit a little lower once I get the electronics in it but not by much I got a punk dig coming for it that may get here soon and I have to order some ultra high clearence links for it.

The Electronic's won't lower it much at all... You just need some Shorter Shocks. 80mms Should work fine.

I would run 80's. Are you going to leav some torsion or brace it up solid?

If you want to save some $$ just limit you front shocks, the shocks are pretty good they are just too long.....and go with the full torsion in rear ...then get some soft Rovers and you are good to go
Listen to Run2jeepn!! he knows what he talking about...(been there done that )

i'd limit the shocks and try it out, if you don't like it then buy whatever you think.

Wow, that's some serious flex!! Try to get it so that you have enough to put one tire on a soda can, that's about all you want. Much more than that and the rig will fold under itself. You still need to put a brace between the front shocks, that will help take some of the flex and slop out. I know you want to try the torsion/twist together in the back, but I think you'll end up either bracing it and running shocks, or taking the shocks off. But.......... I have been wrong once or twice before.

I started out with 30 weight oil in front and 50 in rear, but changed recently to 30 weight in all four. It seems to help a bit with off-camber climbs and "twisty" areas.

I think I have an old-school dig switch you can borrow till your Punk comes in. Let me know if you want it and I'll dig around and see if I can find it.
