Yes I am the second to build one with bullys but the first defiantly pushed me over the top to order it! Big bores came in today and I worked on some mock up links to check clearance on the axles.. looks like ill be lacking a lot of the black zink! After getting the links mocked up I think ill be changing the name of this build to "the heaviest UGC Viper on the planet"! LOL Last edited by cumminsontherocks; 03-25-2011 at 05:12 PM. |

I'll get some pics tonight. Just bought some mayhem wheels for it this morn. Also got some more delrin for links and steering. $2.80 a # at Alro supply I have enough to build do sets now lol!

| This is really what Frustrated me most about these axles was the constant binding with BIG A$$ case always in the way. Interested to see if you just move the shocks to the cap like the pic above, or if there is another way to do it!

Just trawling through the Bully forum to see who else is building one of these chassis/axle combos, I hear you about the binding issue. Threw some links at mine today from when I ran these axles on a YTC BJ v3 chassis, and it was awful, it was a VERY rough mock up as the chassis only arrived today but damn i'd forgotten how much of a PITA the gear casing was, like a high maintenance girlfriend you hook up with after not seeing for months, seems like a good idea but then bugger me if it doesn't give you grief! Real interested to see what link solutions you come up with, and getting the shocks onto the aluminum mounting brace |

i worked on mine today for a while but it just seems to never get done . i made all my links out of white delrin and hated them, so i re did them in black today. now im in the middle of stuffing allll my electronics in this itty bitty chassis! i swear i have NO idea what im going to do with it all! think im going to be needing a punk dig switch.

Ok so i finally got 5 mins to work on this thing and got a little done. Made all my own homebrew links using revo ends. lowers are out of 3/8" delrin sheet and the uppers with 8/32 all thread covered by alum tube (for now). did alot of grinding on the cases to get the shocks to the viper shock mounts buy ended up going to the chassis because my new springs havent gotten here yet and the springs were binding pretty bad when it suspension would cycle. i threw (literally) all the elec in it today just to see how it worked. tried my rovers on some comp mayhems and they are WAY wrong offset so i stole the panthers and wheels off my 6yo sons crawler and took it out in the yard. |

I definitely think it's a cool/great looking chassis. The pic's I've seen seem to show the work in the parts is top notch. |

It's defiantly work in progress. this is my first crawler so I'm learning as I go! Lol. The servo is just some junk I got from hobbyking. Was making an order of deans, wire, and a bunch of other crap, figured is almost 300 oz. servo for $17 was with a try. |

Looking good! I know I designed a chassis that a friend runs on his bully and he ran into a lot of issues with binding. It is cool to see a Viper on a bully and it looks mean |
