| Rckcrwlr's RC4WD Bully 2 Comp Crawler 2013
After about 2 years of design, they are finally here... Introducing the new RC4WD Bully 2 Comp Axles While these were in the design and test stage, I needed a chassis at the same level of expectation. I reached out to my friend Nick (BTF) at T1E and he set me up with the Sniper V2 Chassis. While at it, I had him cut me some CF Wheels also. So not to drag it out with all the build details (I will after this)...here is my 2013-2014 Bully 2 Comp Rig. Excuse the birds nest of wires...haven't got that far yet. Also...the wheels were mounted that way to confuse the judges...did he just reverse or ah...no, no he didn't ...keep going driver. Now for my set up: RC4WD Bully 2 Axles (Front) (Rear) T1E Sniper CF Chassis T1E CF Wheels T1E Ti Lower Links RC4WD King Shocks 90 mm (fronts have rod end modification) RC4WD 35T Boost Motors (Temporarily) Castle Creations Mamba Micro Pro (Dual) Castle Creations BEC Last edited by Rckcrwlr; 09-05-2013 at 01:55 PM. |

Will all the new rear axles come with a servo mount?

First thing I did was pull them apart. There was light grease on the gears but wanted to add more. Also thread locking the screws is vital. Disassembly is easy...especially when you can pull the tubes off without having to remove the CHubs and Knuckles We will do the rear axle first. As you can see they added just about an inch onto the width so no need to have wide offset wheels. 8 screws gets you to this point... Removing one panel gives you access to the final gears Removing the other side gives you access to the "spur" and other gears...very clean and simple. Here is a side view to show you how wide the gears are...(Same set up as the XR10 gears) Here is the weight of the rear axle... Last edited by Rckcrwlr; 09-05-2013 at 02:23 PM. |

Let's go to the front axle...this is the fun one... A targeted 50 Degree steering angle was achieved. Clockable CHubs and Knuckles are tapped for Weights ( :shh: ) Here you can see the Servo placement...tucked in to the gear box and set low. This was achieved by having the offset adjustable upper link mount. You can see how the bottom was beveled to eliminate any sharp edges and minimal contact for clearance. Disassembly is just as easy as the rear... And here it is weighed in... Here is the front axle fully dressed with motor and servo |

I did the Rod End Mod to the King Shocks for the front so that I had more clearance. Modified a Losi Cup to work with the stock aluminum cup and some ShooGoo. Here is how she sits right now... Front View Rear View Side View Top View Mandatory Flex Full running weight less battery (Not to shabby right out of the box) |

Are the extra holes in the top of the case pre planning for something super, or do they serve another function.

| Re: Rckcrwlr's RC4WD Bully 2 Comp Crawler 2013 We will have to see on the plate. The idea was to make sure that things were designed in the case now...instead of having someone drill and tap later.

Sweet!!!! Finally, a new Bully axle. This looks to be the next evolution for some tough a$$ axles. It's been a LONG time coming, and I gotta say, I didn't think it was ever going to happen. These look Awesome and show a NO compromise to The BULLY axles. (I still think you should have went with the label "Bully Pro's". |
