The fans actually work, I just suggest not using them for the first 2 minutes or so, as they increase amp draw because they put on a load on the motor. After that, they are good as long as its not a crazy load (some people had ones that added like 5 amps of load, way too much).

Nice build. On you servo arm, what hole are you using? How long is your servo arm?

What you mean what hole? I forgot to measure it, but it's similiar to this:

Today I was able to continue the rebuild. The motors came to me and also the skins from Krawler Konceptz had arrived. Big thanks to R2 for rebuilding the motors and Michelle for a "new" design on the skins!

I also want to thank Eddie from Crawler Innovations sending me this cell block! It's really cool!

Old theme with new sponsors. I loved the Koppensneller theme, so why would I change it? Too bad I forgot the body reamer, so attaching the skins will be on tomorrows agenda.

Front and rear motor on place.

Looks like everything is ready for a test of the new electronics!

No smoke! Yet. Test drive next.

Again no smoke and everything seems to be working as they should. Motors definately came to live!

The electronics setup once more.

I wanted a similiar feeling to the suspension as in my sister's Smurfette XR. So I got myself a pair of Losi Mini Crawler soft springs.

Feels much smoother now.

I'll have to attach the skins tomorrow and clock my rear axle, so the motor won't hang so low. Then this thing is ready for next weekend!

Todays agenda was to finish the rig.

Made the holes for my new gorgerous skins.

Here's the difference between new skin and one year old one.

Shiny!

Roof attached!

Some of the sponsors right there!

One of the new ones.

Before attaching the hood, I had to do some more soldering. I had to shortern the battery wires, cause I had made them too long.

With that done, I now could attach the last part of the skins.

Then I did a little clocking to my rear axle and now the motor is better covered.

RTR weight is about the same as last year.

Rig is already looking like a new. And I still haven't got two components for it...

...a pair of brand new Team Brood Racing Nexus motors. 30T HHK-T. Can't wait to test them! I'll be driving next weekends comp with my Stubbies though, I think they'll do just fine.

New season is now opened for me.

The very special comp in January. First annual Arctic Special.

Course building took some time, but it was well worth it.

Here is course two. The grip was really suprisingly good when you keep in mind the ice on the rocks. Loving my Voodoos of course!

Victory was made quite much already on the first course, where the narrow rig worked out the way excellent.

Happy to get the first victory of the year. The rig was working really well and I'm already waiting for the next comp to come.

Just adding the shock oils to the indoor competition. And of course the new motors.

Awesome stuff Samu! Makes me want to go shovel off some rocks!

The doo's looked to clean out well with a simple blip of the throttle. Very impressed...

Wihiii, motors finally arrived!

Always the best part to open the packages.

Hmmmmmm....

Yeah. Correct. Brood Racing awesomeness!

New nexus motors compared to Stubby.

That is something else!

Rear motor on it's place.

Front as well.

Soldering it on.

All done. I want to have a go with it!

Not just yet. Attaching motor covers first.

Front cover assembled now. Yeah, it's a bit worn, but it'll do.

Ready for test drive on the garage floor!

RTR weight for 2015. Motors felt really nice. Suprisingly smooth to be honest. It'll be interesting to see how well they manage our indoor comp after three weeks.

I can safely say, that Nexus motors seems to be quite a bought! Let's get back to this rig once the comp is near.
